Meet Becky Castro Lowell 

Camp Director of

Boys Will Be Boys

Summer Camp

 

Becky Castro Lowell is a wife and mother of three boys ages, 17, 15, and 13. This is her 9th year directing the summer camp. 

 

Education:

-Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University

-Business Administration Degree from the University of Florida

-Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education

-CPR & First Aid Certified

-RRCA Certified Coach 

-Virtus Trained

-Miami Dade County & Archdiocese Fingerprinted 

 

Experience:

She has spent numerous years teaching, coaching and volunteering in both the private and public education systems. She managed and owned an after school enrichment program for several years. She is currently an event coordinator and looks forward to her summers running the camp. 

 

Boys Will Be Boys Summer Camp:

Owner & Director of an all boy summer camp for boys who are entering Kinder through 4th grade. The camp consists of a well rounded program encompassing of morning academics for their grade level, enrichment classes and exposure to a variety of sports and mind building activities. We strive for a safe, loving, teamworking environment for all the boys.

2024 & 2023- Completed the 8th & 7th year of summer camp with 70 boys a week entering Kinder through 4th grade enrolled weekly from a variety of private, charter and public schools in the Miami-Dade County area. Camp was held at Somerset Bay Academy. 

 

 

2022- Completed the 6th year of summer camp with 80 boys entering Kinder through 4th grade enrolled weekly from a variety of private, charter and public schools in the Miami-Dade County area. Camp was held at Somerset Bay Academy.

2021- Completed the 5th year of summer camp with 60 boys enrolled weekly from a variety of schools in the Miami-Dade County area. 

Camp was held at Somerset Bay. 

​

2020: Summer camp was a success even with COVID-19 & CDC regulations. 20 to 30 campers attended weekly for 6 weeks. 

 

2019: 100 boys a week from schools all over the Miami-Dade County area. 

​

2018: 75-100 boys a week from 28 different schools in the Miami-Dade County area. 

 

2017: 50 boys ages 5-10 attended the camp from over 23 different schools in Miami-Dade County. 

​

Hobbies:

She enjoys running, spending time outdoors with her boys and challenging herself to triathlons. She also likes giving back to the community by volunteering her time for various non-profit organizations in Miami.
